A number of Northern California businesses plus two companies supplying an often-effective treatment device offer discounts to PCNA members. As new discounts become available, they will be listed here, so check back periodically.
Anodyne Therapy and Biomedi Therapeutic Systems Inc. (makers of HealthLight) offers PCNA members a discount on their units for home use. Some people have found infrared light treatment highly effective in helping their neuropathy by increasing movement and feeling and reducing pain. (Like most neuropathy treatments, however, other people receive little or no benefit.) The benefits of infrared light therapy, for those it helps, disappear after treatment is stopped, so a home unit can be a cost-effective and helpful option for those who find relief with the treatment.
Anodyne Therapy was an early pioneer in this treatment, and is so associated with it that sometimes the company name is used as a synonym for the treatment. HealthLight’s treatment also has a visual light component, and is pulsated. You can go to their websites to check out what the units look like and to learn how they work (see the site links below). Both give a money back guarantee if it the machine doesn't work for you. People may want first to try a course of treatment (usually twelve frequent visits), and if it is helpful for them, consider purchasing a unit. Such treatments are available from various podiatrists and chiropractors. Make sure you deal with a reputable provider that prices treatments by the treatment or in for a small group of treatments. Anything over $50 a treatment for this kind of treatment alone should be avoided.
Anodyne Therapy offers PCNA members $50 off of the retail price for selected units. For those who keep their unit, Anodyne will give NCCNA $25. There is online and telephone instruction and answers to questions. The prices with the $50 off are:
- Freedom 300 (Their newest unit.) $549.
- Model 120 (New) $1345 (Participation in Health Outcomes Study required).
- Model 120 (Refurbished) $749 (subject to availability).
Model 300 treats one foot and leg at a time. Model 120 has the ability to treat both legs at the same time.

More discounts will be added when someone obtains an agreement that the business will offer a discount to members showing their cards. If you talk to a business manager, you can tell them that they will be listed on this website and in our newsletter each month so our members will know of their generosity and patronize their business. To make arrangements, call (877) 622-6298 or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org. An agreement form will be mailed to the business, and upon its being signed and returned their business will be added to the next newsletter.
