Neuropathy Action Awareness Day

The first ever Neuropathy Action Awareness Day was held Tuesday, June 26, 2007 at the ACSF Conference Center at Mission Bay, San Francisco.  This event, sponsored by The Neuropathy Action Foundation (NAF) and supported by NCCNA, was designed to promote awareness of neuropathy, and to provide helpful information to those who have the disease or who care about someone who does.  About 250 people attended the health fair exhibits and seminars, and over 150 (some different) attended the evening's reception and dinner.

The NCCNA strongly supported the event and encouraged its members to attend.  As a result, a large percentage of the health fair visitors were NCCNA members.  In addition, several new members joined.  To facilitate attendance by distant NCCNA members, the NAF sponsored a tour bus that ran from Auburn with stops in Roseville, Sacramento, West Sacramento, and Davis, picking up forty people along the way.  The NCCNA also had a prominent booth at the event, and provided lots of brochures and information to attendees.
