Every spring, the WNA holds its annual meeting to offer informative health care related presentations and update members on the organization's activities. The meetings also feature a light continental breakfast and a buffet lunch.

The Neuropathy Action Foundation, a key partner of the WNA, held the first-ever Neuropathy Action Awareness Day on June 26, 2007 in San Francisco. The WNA sent a busload of members and hosted a booth. See a synopsis and photos.

In 2009, the Neuropathy Action Foundation (NAF) sponsored legislation to establish a task force on peripheral neuropathy designed to improve patient care. The measure, Assembly Concurrent Resolution (ACR) 87, was introduced by Assemblymember Mary Hayashi (D-Hayward). The task force, which included WNA/NCCNA president Bev Anderson and Director Emeritus Sandra Vinson, plus other neuropathy patients, doctors, legislators, insurance representatives, and others, met in March.
